About CSF2025

  • The 2025 F20 Climate Solutions Forum (CSF) offers a unique opportunity to shape an agenda that accelerates the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advances Africa’s priorities in the G20 dialogue, by showcasing solutions and connecting actors across sectors and providing a stage for philanthropy and foundations. These actions support the G20 presidency hosted by South Africa in 2025, under the theme ‘Solidarity, Equality, and Sustainable Development’.

The CSF is designed to be an interactive, participatory event that encourages meaningful dialogue and practical outcomes. F20’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity ensures a broad range of voices are represented, enriching discussions and fostering innovative solutions that reflect the needs of diverse communities worldwide

  • Under the theme ‘Trust. Transition. Transformation: Building Relationships for Climate Solidarity’, this event will convene climate leaders, innovators, foundations and philanthropic organisations from around the world.

The forum is designed to reflect this overarching theme and take participants on a journey from Trust to Transition and, ultimately, to Transformation.

On the first day, we will focus on trust building, with a potential emphasis on Cost of Capital, multilateralism, and social ownership models. The discussions will centre on fostering collaboration and confidence among stakeholders to enable effective and sustainable change.

On the second day, we will transition into exploring tools, mechanisms, and policies that drive meaningful progress ("what moves the needle"). Potential themes include Just Transitions in energy, agriculture, and development, as well as the Biodiversity-Energy Justice Nexus. As we move into the transformation phase on the same day, the focus will shift to systemic approaches and practical solutions for long-term impact. Discussions may cover topics such as a Whole-of-Society Approach to food security and climate action, as well as practical applications of country platforms and ideas for impact.
